Learn how to add, move, duplicate, remove, and edit spacing between content blocks.
Adding content blocks to an email
Click on the Content tab to the left of your email.
Click on Folders below the content tab.
Select Shared under the Folders button.
Click the arrow next to “Email Framework” and then “Content Blocks” to expand and find the folders with the content blocks.
Select the folder for the type of content block you’d like to use.
Drag the content block you’d like to use to where you’d like it in your email; you’ll see a thin blue line that shows where the block will go.
Moving content blocks in your email
Click on the content block you’d like to move.
Drag the content block to the place you’d like it to be within your email; you’ll see a thin blue line that shows where the block will go.
Duplicating content blocks
Hover over the content block you’d like to duplicate.
You’ll see two arrows on the right side of the content block. Click the lower arrow that has a circle around it.
Click Duplicate.
Removing content blocks from an email
Hover over the content block you’d like to remove
You’ll see two arrows on the right side of the content block. Click the lower arrow that has a circle around it.
Click Delete.
Make sure you really want to delete the block because deleting can’t be undone in Marketing Cloud.
Click Delete again.
Editing vertical spacing between content blocks
Click on the content block you’d like to adjust spacing for.
Click on the Block Settings tab on the left edit window.
Under Spacing, edit the padding on the top and bottom (do not edit the left and right padding; the left and right padding values should be 0)
NOTE: Make sure the link next to the top padding number is broken. Otherwise, you’ll change all sides of the block’s padding, which is not correct because the left and right sides should be 0.
Increase the padding number to increase the amount of space above or below the content block. Decrease the number to decrease the amount of space.
Click Done Editing.
Make sure you preview your email to make sure the padding looks appropriate.
