The Email Framework is the new method for building emails in Marketing Cloud. It's similar to the IU Web Framework in that it's a system that adheres to the IU brand and allows for flexibility to add and remove the content blocks you need to lay out your emails.
The Email Framework was designed from the ground up to be mobile responsive, accessible, and to work across email clients. By using it, you won't have to hand-code any of your emails, and they should work without anything breaking.
How to use the Email Framework has been baked in to the content throughout the documentation—in fact, it's now the only way the IU Studios CRM Marketing team will support email creation moving forward. All of the old templates are being phased out, and you should adopt the Email Framework if you haven't already.
It also will be maintained over time and will have new content blocks and other enhancements added. Make sure you're using the base template correctly to inherit updates.
How to get started
To begin using the email framework, you'll need to request a brand configuration. It stores the setting such as your header information, From name, and social media links.
Once you have your brand configuration, you can learn how to create an email using the Email Framework.
You'll also want to explore the content blocks available in the Email Framework. There is a lot of flexibility in how you lay out the content in your emails.
